Judi is very cross about the Inquiry
by Chris Ames
Dame Judi Dench has told the Times that:
I am riveted by the current Iraq inquiry, though angry already because I feel it will end with a report and nobody’s actually going to be arraigned for what happened.”
Would she like to see Bush or Blair in court? “I’d like the buck to stop somewhere and know where that buck stops.”

Thanks for the gratitude, Tertia. I’m not just “humouring” families affected by the war btw since I really believe that those who fought in Iraq were involved in a noble cause and deserve our gratitude rather than the constant rubbishing of what they fought for.
As for Judi’s views, fine actress as she is I’m not sure that she is the most authorititive source on this subject.

Contrary to Dame Judi Dench who I greatly admire, I am not riveted by this inquiry which is rather surprising to myself!
When I was initially contacted by the inquiry, my attitude was positive and open minded and so willing to support the “lessens learned” approach. Realising that it may be a very naive mental mode, did not want to stand in a crowd screaming for heads to roll – as StanTheMainMan would categorise us as “angry and bereaved” family members (suggesting that we should be “humoured” by other sane intelligent people like himself?).
My everlasting gratitude to Chris Ames and everyone contributing to this site – even you Stan.
I lock in every evening and read what has been posted > gone are the days of frantically just trying to make sense of a heinous political deed.
Whatever the outcome, history is being recorded – and yes, we are all pawns in this very real world. I emotionally detach myself as I read along and when I am finished, I thank God for blessing me with my boy, “hug” him and have peace in my heart.
Thank you Chris – take good care.
